SATURN IN SAGITTARIUS - 2015 through 2017

SATURN IN SAGITTARIUS – a new energy of Fire

On December 23, 2014, Saturn entered the sign of Sagittarius where it will stay in the early degrees until June 14, 2015, when it returns to Scorpio. It will not be until September 18 that Saturn returns to Sagittarius.

Jeanne feels and I have observed that many will sense of new vision, a new direction and a lightening of the energies because of the Fire and Visionary element of Sagittarius. Yet, the rational has not returned. Vision and inspiration may seem like logic but they are not. Later, in August, when Jupiter enters Virgo, we will have the practical energies of an Earth sign. Earth improves organization and systematizes details – but it is practical, not logical.

What I am telling my clients is that early 2015 will be a sense of something new about to happen, a new vision and a new direction, but the timing is not right for bolting out of the starting gate. From June through September 2015, Saturn retreats back into Scorpio in the late degrees.
Many will be drawn to go back and finish up issues and projects from the past. We cannot move forward with a lot of loose ends from the past cycle holding us back.

When Saturn is in the late degrees, it is always an ending cycle, a time to end what no longer works in our lives. Once it returns to Sagittarius, according to Jeanne, it will lift the delusions created by Neptune in Pisces. The lessons of Sagittarius are connected with freedom, open-mindedness and truth. Of course, there is a big difference between the Facts and the Truth!

Esoterically, Jeanne feels that Great Beings meet at the winter solstice in the month of December to prepare the vision for the coming year. We must clear away the dross in our thinking and feeling so that the vision can come in.

Visions do get distorted – for example, “if you give the vision of sharing and universal equality (communism) to Russian peasants, look at what you get!! Giving the vision of Islam to a bunch of goat herders, look at what you get!”

In 1985, I wrote an article on Saturn entering the sign of Sagittarius which I have updated:
Saturn rules the value system of a period, lasting from 2-2.5 years. These values are determined by our fears and concerns. Children born while Saturn is in Sagittarius (through 2017) will be imbued with Sagittarian concerns as Saturn sets the standard for the rules and regulations that we set for the children born at this time.

When Saturn is in Scorpio, it prevailed upon our fears and survival issues which made up our value system during that period. Scorpio fears deal with overwhelming circumstances that seem beyond our control.

Saturn in Sagittarius is like a breath of fresh air since it rules more abstract values such as codes, ethics, quality control, upgrading standards, credentialing and standards of Truth.
Those with vision, those who can see the Big Picture, those who can upgrade and maintain high standards, will do very well in this cycle.

In 1986, after the Challenger explosion, poor standards were uncovered at NASA. Those who stood alone in their voice against the launch and who had earlier protested against the low standards were put in charge of NASA.

In the 1950s, when Saturn was in Scorpio, the over-whelming fear-ridden issues were the communist headhunting of Senator Joseph McCarthy, the first nuclear submarine, bomb shelter commercials and the beginnings of the civil rights movement with Brown versus the Board of Education. All of the fears were connected in some way to survival – even the survival of white folks with desegregation. The great health fear was Polio. In the 1980s, it was AIDs.

The shift into Sagittarius took us from McCarthy’s “communist in every corner” to the vision of the Space Age. New breakthroughs in the fields of science inspired us to a new vision, with the new vision taking us away from the old fears. Transportation, communications and education are emphasized by Sagittarius. This Saturn transit brought the first civil rights bill that implemented (even under the stress connected with the limited vision of some people) educational rights for black, minorities and even white people.

As technology advances under Sagittarius so will the need for better education and a return to the sciences. In the Sagittarius cycle of the late 1950s, students turned away from liberal arts degrees to degrees in business and science.

At that time, the scientific breakthroughs occurred with the first satellites. With the exploration in space came the discovery of the Van Allen radiation belt and many other discoveries that expanded the vision of man. In the earlier Sagittarius cycle, we saw Lindbergh make the first successful non-stop solo flight from New York to Paris.

That last cycle seemed so long ago but the Federal Aid Highway Act was signed inaugurating the interstate highway system. We had the first Trans-Atlantic telephone cable service – now we have satellites! In this older cycle, the first domestic jet airline passenger service commenced.
Sagittarius emphasizes honesty, higher standards and values, and standards of truth. There is a strong pattern of major scandals when a planet (Jupiter outwards) enters Sagittarius. This is different from the nefarious Saturn in Scorpio with scandals that are highly covert and dark. With Sagittarius, the individuals will fare better if they tell the truth. If the accused “puts their cards on the table,” their reputation can be saved; if not, they go down with the scandal.

When Jupiter was in Sagittarius, there was the Gary Powers U-2 incident. Initially, Eisenhower lied to the American people, denying the U.S. involvement. Fortunately, as steps were being taken to impeach Eisenhower, he put his cards on the table and candidly confided that we are indeed spying of the Russians – this was the Cold War and it was a matter of national security. All was forgiven when Eisenhower told the truth. In the next Jupiter in Sagittarius cycle, the Pentagon Papers revealed the U.S. involvement in Vietnam.

When Neptune entered Sagittarius, Spiro Agnew was thrown under the bus by Nixon but Nixon soon followed with the Watergate Scandal.

My personal favorite – better than a reality show – with Saturn and Uranus in Sagittarius was the Jim and Tammy Baker Tele-Evangelical Scandal. This popular couple were pocketing money that was supposed to go to charities, they over sold condos in their PTL complex and there were sex scandals galore! That scandal ended the popularity of these shows. Even President Reagan had to “come clean,” after denying the exchange of arms for hostages, and admit that “mistakes” were made in the Iran-Contra Affair. He accepted full responsibility for this event. This is exactly what you should do when planets transit Sagittarius.

In the earlier Saturn in Sagittarius cycle, Albert Fall, former Secretary of the Interior, was convicted of bribery – that was called the Teapot Dome Scandal!

It is hard to believe that the current Do-Nothing Congress will do anything but, in the past Sagittarian cycle, there were major acts of legislation.

• The first Civil Rights Bill was passed
• The Voting Rights Act of 1960
• A Constitutional Amendment lowering the voting age to 18 years
• The death penalty deemed unconstitutional
• Congress over-rode Reagan’s veto of the stiff sanctions against South Africa (human rights issues) – and they over-rode Reagan’s veto of the civil rights bill
• Even the Supreme Court was active, stating that women could not be barred from “men’s clubs”

• With Jupiter in Virgo, beginning in August 2015, there can be gene mutations that do good and protect against diseases.
• Expansion in Air and Space – I have observed that the horoscope of the airplane (the first flight at Kitty Hawk) has Sagittarius prominent and it is always triggered when there are aero-space breakthroughs and disasters.
• There will be continued crises with the European Union due to the Saturn Return in the Treaty of Rome that formed the EU
• Watch out for the German government. Angela Merkel (July 17 1954) grew up under communism and, just before the Crimea Crisis, she and Putin were “crawling into bed” with each other with a Free Trade Agreement for Peace. Germany resents supporting the other floundering EU countries.
• Congress may pass immigration laws but nothing will change
• Syria will disappear and a new state is emerging that is scary, run by terrorists. The Syrian people will be gone by 2016 with the terrorist takeover.
• With Neptune in Pisces and Saturn in Sagittarius, religion will be a big deal. “Frank” is what happens when you let God pick your leader! See discussion at the end of this article. Truth and honesty will strike the corrupt Vatican Bank.
• The Uranus-Pluto alignment will challenge the cultural revolution of the 1960s. We should see great shifts in China.
• A new vision for higher education – does the person who you are hiring really know how to do that job?! Will your degree get you a job? In an airport discussion with a fellow passenger, he told me that he was involved in a movement in Texas to teach the trades where the student really could get a job after graduation.
• There will be a focus upon integrity in media; a mobilization in media when journalists remember what their job really is
• Truth Seeking versus Lie Worshipping, especially in politics
• Anti-aging drugs (in the last Pluto in Leo cycle, Ponce De Leon was searching for the foundation of youth; the current Pluto in Leo ladies are seeking the same)
• Explosive events in Pakistan (this government has reinstated the death penalty to hang terrorists)
• The new countries that were formed in 1989 are having their first Saturn Return, including the Russian Independence (a 5 year span with Saturn in Sagittarius and Capricorn)
• The Iran-Iraq war ended with the last transit of Saturn in Sagittarius

At least through 2018, Pluto and Uranus will be transiting Cardinal signs. The Cardinal signs will cause problems associated with the endocrine system, specially the adrenal and thyroid glands. Cardinal signs respond to all crises. They can respond by trying to organize a crisis, mediate a crisis, address the crises head-on or simply go into an avoidance mode and internalize the crises in the life.
This is the list of Cardinal Crisis health symptoms due to Adrenal stress and Cortisol Imbalance:

• Shakiness, higher heart rate and a pounding heart when you move
• Panic Attacks
• Inability to handle stress and difficulty focusing
• Emotional Sensitivity — even becoming paranoid at times
• Episodes of low blood sugar (you feel better when you eat – eating stopped some of my shakiness)
• Severe headaches – as soon as my Cortisol levels spike, I get a terrible headache and aspirin does not help
• Chronic Fatigue and constant hungries
• Breathing more to get more oxygen
• Dark circles under the eyes (I never had this)
• Persistent Allergies
IBS/diarrhea symptoms
• Critical insomnia – Cortisol will keep you awake
• Depression (I never realize how depressed I was until I started taking these supplements)
• Insomnia (I never realized that I had serious sleeping problems until I took DHEA liquid and Seriphos and slept soundly for the first time in years)
• Calcium Loss, even for men!

In my medical research, I have determined that the endocrine system is ruled by Cardinal signs. With so many planets transiting Cardinal signs plus Neptune in Pisces, mental health issues, ADD and ADHD will come to the forefront.

When Saturn was transiting Scorpio – and it will return to this sign from June through September 2015 – issues connected with the Thyroid (psychologically, from swallowing one’s words), Colitis from fears and situations that you cannot stomach, and back pain due from shouldering overwhelming burdens.
With Saturn entering Sagittarius, the most common health issue will be Sciatica, a very painful inflammation of the large sciatic nerve that runs down the back of the leg. Sometimes, the sciatic nerve is inflamed when our potassium levels are low (often from too much salt in the diet). If this is a possibility, Twin Labs Super K is the fastest remedy. However, sciatica can also arise from a fear of moving forward with the changes that come with the shift into this new sign.

Sagittarius shows us a vision of change. When we become paralyzed with a fear of change and moving forward, the leg is actually immobilized by the sciatic nerve. I experienced this years ago when Uranus entered Sagittarius. I knew that my life would totally change and I was afraid.
Since Sagittarius is a Mutable sign, fears and fear of change can impact the lymphatic system. This can cause inflammation of the lymphatic glands in the body, edema, ear infections, and sinusitis and, at its worse, a hardening of the connective tissues (Scleroderma). Individuals who are set in their old ways may experience respiratory ailments when they feel that they cannot breathe under the demands of the higher standards of Sagittarius. When we feel under the pressure of criticism, health issues can manifest through the liver. This includes diabetes.

With any transit involving Sagittarius, it is essential that we be honest – in our actions and about what we are feeling. If one senses the pressures and demands of higher performance, be honest about what you feel and express this to those around you.

  1. Sai Grafio Says:

Higher education in areas of job shortages is like preparing to be an astrophysicist and ending up pumping gas. Saturn demands realism in the affairs of Sagittarius, like borders (Saturn) between countries and the regulation of those borders. What about outmoded antiquated laws (Saturn) upheld by courts out of touch with reality. Saturn demands we get real about the affairs of Sagittarius. Beliefs get tested where the rubber hits the road; faithful Christians in Egypt beheaded for adhering to a religion antithetical to beliefs of Isil. Finally, the planet of karma returning the effect to perpetrators of cause like promulgators of outlandish beliefs, cults and mind styles. Looking for anachronisms is not hard to do with the United States that experimented with utopian communities, religious communities like the Amish, Mennonites, et. al. Paradoxically, Saturn the planet of restriction in the Universal sign of Sagittarius is an exercise in polemics going no where, especially when beliefs have taken people down a rocky road.

  2. burka Says:

Hello, I have a question regarding the influence of Satrun going retro and direct period soon. Saturn will go retro on my natal Venus (5.42’ Sag in 12th house) which is trine my natal Mars (3.20 Aries in 4th). A lot is happening in my 4th house over my natal north node (15.40’ Aries) – mars Uranus and venus passing there too), and Uranus-PLuto sqare is also happening in my 4th-1st house (i’m capricorn with cap ascendant too.). I’m especially concerned with my love life being hit with Saturn retro on natal Venus. Do you think this transit for me has to do more with family-work related issues being that Venus rules my natal 10th house (5th too!). Or is it more love, relationships related? I’m concerned with a lot of big planets transiting and heavily aspecting my 1st, 4th, 12th houses.. I’m also feeling a lot of pressure from my job dealing with a lot of responsibilities coming at me all at once. I was actually planning to go back to study for getting a licence to work in my field of bussines with coming of saturn retro transit, so I’m wondering is it the best period for the studies and getting the licence concerning the influences of the planets and houses involved? I’m also feeling a lot of presure on my upper back part (between neck and shoulders being constantly stiff) so i’ve began excercising much more to release the pain and stiffness. Could it be all Saturn related?

  3. Lynn Koiner Says:

BURKA (3-2015): The good news is that Saturn NEVER Retrogrades on your Venus. It turns Retrograde at 4 degrees so it never reaches 5 degrees before changing direction.

Saturn does cross your Venus for only 1 week and 1 times only — from November 9-17, a time when you can experience a mood of feeling alone or isolated. But it never comes back to this point.

At 4 degrees, Saturn makes a long time trine to your Mars in Aries in the 4th House. This is a good aspect, esp. for long term commitments, like education.

But your question, during that week in November, the 12th House creates a mood, feeling alone and isolated and then it passes. It is important during that week to get out and socialize with kindred spirits or a meditation or spiritual groups.

Saturn in the 12th is a great time to let go of the old self. You will develop something new when Saturn is in Capricorn and then take off when Saturn crosses the Ascendant.

Saturn affects the health when we assume too many responsibilities, esp for others, and when we do not feel supported by others. And, lower back can be the adrenals. For this, a good adrenal gland supplement helps — not herbs but raw adrenal gland and this must be taken in WAVES — on and off, not continuous.

I suggest to all who wish to study astrology that you invest in THE AMERICAN EPHEMERIS to really see what the planets are doing.

  4. Anna Says:

How will Saturn in Sagittarius impact people with a lot of mutable signs in their chart? For example, I have six planets including two outer plantets, in either Gemini or Virgo which means Saturn’s transit will square or oppose most of my personal planets over the next 2 years. Will Saturn demand that we focus, retrench, rest or ? Is it a bad idea to go after a long-held goal when Saturn is opposing our personal planets? Saturn will be transiting my 3rd house, opposing my four planets including Sun in 9th house, squaring my mars-pluto conjunction in 12th house. I had hoped to go after my masters degree this year but Saturn opposing my 9th house of education doesn’t bode well for success.

  5. Lynn Koiner Says:

ANNA (5-2015): I have the same – lots of Mutables in Gemini/Virgo. If anything can go wrong, if any computer can crash, if any mishap can occur, it has so far!!!

When it is a difficult aspect to a beginning planet (early degrees), then getting started can have a glitch but that does not prevent success. Saturn will test Mutable flexibility so be prepared to go with the flow.

Do not take on any unnecessary responsibilities because going to school will take up all of your time. Learn to SAY NO when Saturn is making a bad aspect. Ask others to help you when the load gets too big but keep your life simple.

I started a class with such an aspect to 3-9 and, just as I was starting to take a course, a pipe broke in the house and this interfered with my studies (the repairs) but I finished the course.

Say NO, set priorities, do not take on any extra responsibilities or commitments. Only do what you absolutely HAVE to do.

  6. Anna Says:

So interesting that you mention saying no and setting priorities because I just picked up a copy of James Altucher’s The Power of NO at the library today. Thanks for the advice, I’m taking it and will postpone my masters program for another year or two. It’s just not a priority in my life right now. I need to focus on my job, my child and my health (I’m recovering from an abusive relationship with a man who destroyed my emotional well being and my finances). Thanks, Lynn!

  7. jen Says:

    Hi Lynn,

Thank you for all of your wisdom and insight, it helps a lot.

I have a general question: When focusing on important aspects in the chart, do you pay attention to the wider orbs in line with the stated allowable(s), or do you ignore orbs greater than, for example, 4 degrees? In other words, do you have your own system based on your experience that you feel is relevant versus the traditional orb system?

    Thank you, Lynn. :)

  8. Lynn Koiner Says:

JEN 96-2015): You asked a good question and my answer will be controversial. Many young astrologers these days seem to place important on the astrology practiced 500 years ago, as if these old guys knew more than we do today.

I was studying astrology in the days of psychological astrology — seeking why is an aspect bad and what was the family dynamic that produced it.

I researched orbs with students as I observed that, when we discussed the psychological impact of aspects (like Mercury-Pluto), that the wide orb aspect worked in my own chart. I researched orbs with the students and now I use wide orbs.

Wide orbs are essential in my medical astrology. I look at the aspect grid using 15:30 degrees applying and separating for all hard aspects – conj, sq, opp. The degree of separation from exactness shows when an event occurred in the life whereby that aspect became EMBOSSED upon the personality.

When there are clusters of the same degree of separation between planets, this describes a childhood trauma period that, if the trauma goes unexpressed, it will lead to a future health issue.

I use 12:30 degrees for the sextile and trine. I use smaller orbs for minor aspects but I do allow 5 degrees for the inconjunct as long as the planets are in the inconjuncting signs.

Betty Lunsted wrote a great book – ASTROLOGICAL INSIGHTS INTO THE PERSONALITY – and she used wide orbs, although she did not say how wide. From her, I learned what the aspects mean so that I know if it works in a chart or not. Alan Epstein who wrote the definitive book on inconjuncts uses wide orbs…he is a psychotherapist in Florida.

Old fashioned astrologers did not know the psychological impact of the aspects so they never saw these. For example, some young (in their studies) astrologers think that the Moon sq Venus is not an important aspect – only because they do not know what it does in the chart – but it is a bi**ch if you have it.

In Prague, just after the Velvet Revolution, a female astrologers asked about this aspect since she had it and her 2 daughters had it and her own mother was awful.
I told her the solution was easy once you understand that the aspect means in psychological terms. In her chart, it indicated a mother who was frustrated by the traditional female role so she played “mood games” to get her needs satisfied. Like Venus-Pluto, she put the family on an emotional roller coaster when she felt unhappy and frustrated.
I told the Czech woman that she and her daughters were like her mother – none liked the traditional female roll (wife and mother and homemaker). I told her that the best lesson she could show her daughters was to get out and get a job that she loved, to travel and do as little domestic work as possible. This would establish a role model for her daughters to get jobs, travel and enjoy a non-domestic life.

She exclaimed – IS THAT ALL IT IS??!! Yes, that is all but imagine your life stuck in the house all the time and only going out to buy groceries. You would be a b**ch just like your mother. They all did this and they are a happy family with no mood games.

Yesterday I showed a medical student how to set the orbs that I use on Solar Fire so that she can use this in her medical work.

  9. jen Says:

Wow, so much more information than I expected. Thank you so much. Being a ‘newbie’, it will take me a while to absorb what you wrote. I noticed your recommendation for the book earlier today, it has raving reviews on Amazon.

“I use 12:30 degrees for the sextile and trine.”

I have a wide orb trine from Jupiter to Mars (7 degrees), another wide trine from Moon to Ascendant (6 degrees), and
Moon trine Venus (9 degrees). When you say 12:30, do I cut that in half? (newbie :) ) Do these aspects work?

I need all the help and encouragement I can get as my chart is full of squares. :)

    Thanks again, Lynn!

  10. Teresa Says:

Passing of the Gay marriage right bill is so typical of Saturn finishing its businesses in Scorpion and entering Sag! :)

  11. TJ Says:

    Hi Lynn
Is Saturn conjunct Sun a good or bad aspect? My sun is at 2 degrees Sag and I’m looking to get a new house soon. Should I wait or is it a good time to make this commitment?

  12. Denise Says:

Hi Lynn, Great article. I was wondering what your feelings are on the publishing field with Saturn going into Sagittarius?

  13. burka Says:

I will soon be having my saturn return. My saturn is 16 sagittarius. I have few questions about the effect of it to my bussiness and career. Should I be using a wider orb to understand the exact time this transit will be felt? Since I’m cap with cap AC and my natal Saturn is in 11th house (16’ Sagittarius) which houses and issues can I expect to deal with through that saturn return period? Will it be felt through 12th and 1st house issues too, since these natal houses are in Cap? Right now I’m learning to get my licence degree in the field I’m working in and expected exam date is October 7th. I was hoping to start to work on my own after that, next year hopefully, but I’m not sure if this transit is supportive of it? I also have my natal Venus at 5 Sagittarius so I should be dealing with Venus related issues soon with contacts to Saturn. I also have Saturn square Jupiter natally, and trine north node so this will probably be involved in the transiting Saturn too if I’m not mistaken.. All in all I’m interested is Saturn return a good transit for starting my own bussiness and concerning my career improvement?

  14. Lynn Koiner Says:

BURKA (9-2015): You are asking a lot of questions that cannot be answered without looking at your entire horoscope and the transits, which I am unable to do on this website.

However, Saturn crossing Venus at 5 Sagittarius is indicative of starting something new.

With my Saturn Return in the 11th House years ago, it only affected me for 1 year.

  15. Urvi Says:

Thanks for writing this article. I’m intrigued that you mentioned Jim Bakker. Guess what, recently he’s selling barrels of food for ‘end of days’ – the time after apocalypse. Time for another scandal, may be!
In my very humble opinion, even if an illusion, ‘time’ is THE most important thing in life. If the time is right, the most improbable seeds take roots and grow into giant oaks.

    Hi Lynne
Am born on 1st July 1978 at 21:44 and my boy friend on 29th April 1961 (dont know his time).. we began our relationship in Aug 2014 after his seperation from his ex. Things have been so great between us till this early June todate…from mid July he stopped talking to me totally, was very harsh and in lots of anxiety and as a result i went through alot of mental unrest.. we resumed communication late Aug but on a very low key and from 15th Sept he was more friendlier. On saturday 19th Sept i spoke to him late evening and told him i would be going to see him around the 24/25th Sept and he was responsive however the following day on sunday 20th Sept he sent me a msg saying he senses i have not moved on and he is not in a relationship with me and wouldnot like to see me if i have not moved on. He also said that our relationship has been over for him past 2 months. I was totally list and shocked. My question is – is this a real break up or there is a possibility for him to return given that we entered into this relation in Aug 2014 when saturn was transiting scorpio and its said such relationships last long (when entered during saturn in 7th &5th house) whether we want or not ?
    Kindly assist

  17. Lynn Koiner Says:

SABRINA (9-2015): You have posted 2 different birth years (privately) but I am presuming that he was born in 1971, not 1961. The 1961 chart is not good at all. The 1971 chart is better, connections between you, but he is very unpredictable in relationships - and you attract unpredictable men. When he says that it is over, IT IS OVER. You need to move on. You cannot make a relationship work It is a real break up.

There is a lot of bad astrology out there and Saturn transiting the 5th and 7th Houses does not portend a long lasting relationship. Yes, it can under the right aspects. But this is definitely NOT what these transits imply.

Saturn in the 5th can be stressful in relationships because you should come to realize what you need from others. This should make you demanding. If they are true friends, they will be there for you. In the 7th, it causes problems in the lives of those around us and they cannot always be there for us. It is not US but their problems with which they are dealing.

I do not know why you asked about Saturn in the 5th and 7th. T Saturn is not even close to these Houses.

Also entirely new bodies of knowledge (Sagittarius) may be reintroduced from ancient traditions (Saturn) in an updated form. The Mayan calendar teachings and it’s reinterpretation of time (Saturn) was reintroduced to the world in an updated form in 1987. Also the Human Design system introduced an entirely new structured form analyzing human consciousness.

  20. Lynn Koiner Says:

KELLY (10-2015): Thank you so much for posting this. One good thing – I heard this morning that they were plugging the ObamaCare problem with increased prices…but I do not know if this helps you. I am on Medicare and I am thrilled – cheap and no co-pays. One of the few perks of getting old.

For teen who does not swallow pills easily, there are always liquid vitamins – but they are limited. There are vitamin liquid drinks – Quest Bar does not use soy and it sweetens with Stevia, a plant whose leaves are super sweet (I grow this), so it has a VERY LOW glycemic index.

  21. Chiyo Says:

    Hi Lynn,

Regarding something you mentioned about t.Saturn 5: I had that transit years ago, and it was hell in relationships. Many bad ones, lots of horrible things that happened. It was the worst transit of my adult life.

I have been single ever since – though not by choice. Now t.Saturn is in my house 7. I was dating a man briefly, but he had too many other commitments to make time for a new relationship, so I kicked him to the curb. As someone who takes relationships very seriously, I’m wondering if I should just expect to be single another two years, until this transit is over? It seems as though every man I’m meeting is “bad” or “wrong” in some way. I’ve lost my compass with regard to what is acceptable and what isn’t. The lack of boundaries in the dating world confuses and agitates me.

Jupiter will be in house 5 this fall. Maybe that will help me lighten up? I’ve taken relationships seriously for years, and maybe that’s a bad attitude to have, given how society seems to feel otherwise.

My life has been unkind to me with regards to relationships. I think some people are just lucky and some people just aren’t. I have a Venus 12, a Neptune/S.Node 7 and a Pluto 5. Maybe all this means that I’m better off alone, even if I’m not happy that way.

  22. Claire Says:

    Hi Lynn,

I’ve just been re-reading this article and your advice regarding Saturn aspecting natal planets in mutable signs. I have Sun – Mars conjunction, Chiron in Pisces, Moon in Gemini, Uranus – Pluto conjunction in Virgo and as Saturn has now moved on from challenging my T square, I can now reflect on past events and say your advice about saying ‘No’ is spot on and I thought I’d share my experience.

I’ve had an ongoing situation at work where somebody has been trying to dump their work onto myself and others. Saying ‘No’ in a variety of ways has become so much easier (Sagittarius occupies my 3rd house) for my Libra ascendant which hates a bad atmosphere. The funniest thing about it is I’ve now stopped talking to the culprit because I’ve really had enough of their ‘let’s sweep it under the carpet and pretend nothing has happened’ attitude. There is power in silence!

Thanks for your insights, I really enjoy reading your articles and advice.

CLAIRE (1-2017): Thank you for sharing – “documenting” is another protector in a negative office situation. That is, always have a notepad where you take down notes and maybe even repeat information back.

I have been disappointed in this Saturn in Sagittarius transit because of the Neptune is Pisces square — politicians are lying blatantly and, if it is the lie that people want to believe, it is OK.

I am happy that you have used it to your advantage.

  24. Claire Says:

    Hi Lynn,

In my own situation the unpleasant behaviour was reported to their line manager by myself and a colleague, but I’m the one who said something face to face. More recently I believe is has become a power issue for this person – interestingly enough my decision that enough was enough and my Ms Nice Guy attitude needed to end, came after the Jupiter/Pluto/Uranus T-Square came into play.

On the subject of politicians and Neptune in Pisces square Saturn in Sagittarius – it seems that both voters and politicians have managed to delude themselves as well as others! I live in the UK and the lies were blatant enough during the run up to the referendum on our EU membership. It made for an interesting couple of weeks in politics after the result was announced as we watched back-stabbing and turncoat behaviour in two of our major political parties.

If nothing else, I’m hoping that some voters will have had their eyes opened. There is always a degree of promises made in pre-election campaigns which are quickly broken, but last year hit a new high in disillusionment. The American elections also produced some bizarre news – I really couldn’t understand why the FBI re-opened the enquiry into Hillary Clinton’s email servers so close to the vote. It seemed like a deliberate attempt to get at her. And the recent news about Russia’s hacking and fake news is extremely worrying. I’m sure there will be more revelations to come.
