Thank you Lynn! I thought the conjunction would more likely be over a longer time period due to the slow orbit; I used the exact day (incidentally, my relocation birth chart) as a reference point. What you say makes sense: my father passed some years ago and my mother and step father are elderly. Over the past few years I have been working towards self-sufficiency in financial and other areas as well as getting to grips with multiple health issues (with some success, I might add). Because of the generation to which I belong, Neptune and Uranus have combined in my chart to make energies available for real sudden insight into healing processes. I feel the Transpluto element has encouraged me to delve really deeply into the causes of my issues, not in a Pluto way (pushing things into the open), but a much more subtle study of the physical and metaphysical energies behind the various issues. Thank you for reading about Transpluto. I wrote a chapter for Noel Tyl and this appear on my website with information on how I conducted this research. Different astrologer have their interpretation of Transpluto and its rulership. The conjunction with your ASC is not really a single day but a 4-year period of moving towards self-sufficiency. It started crossing my ASC when my father died and self-sufficiency has been forced upon me. At 73 years, I became and orphan and now I am totally in charge of my life. I was probably a spoiled only child who has been very independent but not self-sufficient. I am actually now financially self-sufficient but what do I do with this.

It’s my PNM (as in “Natal and Progressed New Moon” chart in astro.com) which is conjunct TP, not my Progressed Moon and Sun like I wrote (my mistake). I now realized it’s been there from at least March/2008 (an incredibly powerful and fulfilling year) and will be there until at least Mar/2037, and then move close to my south node in Virgo/7th house…
I don’t recall feeling powerless when growing up, but it all changed when I had to confront my parents about my carreer decisions in my early 20s. I can trace it back to 2010-2011 and that’s also about the time I went back to Psychology school. My mom was and still is very perfectionist and moralist (she even joked once or twice we were living in her “military barracks”). Her TP is also on her 6th and her Moon is in Virgo. The female bosses I mentioned did share her sun in Gemini and some traits that played an important role in the issues that led to my resignation (not sure of any other detail of their maps though). Plus, they showed me a very hypocritical side of psychology. Distancing myself is also how I set boundaries to my mother. Some people told me I shouldn’t let it get to me, but when I look at them they are freaking out over much less. Anyway, I just hope to build my way towards working more creatively and with more freedom.

If I am visualizing your chart correctly, you are having a Progressed New Moon on Transpluto in your 6th House. P NM’s mark a new 14 year cycle but you may not always realize what the new direction is for at least a year. Transpluto wants you to distance yourself for self-sufficiency. T Pluto for everyone is in the Ending Degrees of 28-29 and many see this as a great Ending Cycle through 2024. So, it is a cycle for change in your work activities and responsibilities.
A planet never opposes your ASC — it is conjunct your Desc. It will take many years to go through your 7th House and it will affect any planet that it aspects for 4 years (I have no clue what Cupido does and never use it). The 7th House brings changes through other people. This transit will remove dependency relationship from your life so that you can become whole and integrated.
Transpluto wants you to change what is unfulfilling about your job. You can stay in psychology but maybe something more holistic will be more satisfying. That Moon in Scorpio squaring TP says a lot about your mother. Much internal dissatisfaction is just playing here old tapes. Working on wholeness and integration on yourself will give a tool for heling others.

I have not written a book, unfortunately. Other books that use a different name for TP are totally different. Over time, I was recognized as the leading authority on TP. Other books were written years ago. One individual called it Persephone. ruling Libra, because it ruled perfectionist tendencies in relationships. The keyword should have been PERFECTIONIST – a Virgo trait. So, what is available is on this website There is the chapter from the Noel Tyl book and my Brief with the better qualities of TP — Wholeness and Integration. It takes 4 years to cross a degree in your chart. My ASC is 2 Virgo – I am having to learn true self-sufficiency since my dad died under the transit — and having to grow up and take control in my 70s. He was almost 100 and there were other indicators of a passing.

I was raised by my very critical grandparents (who both have Pisces moons, and my grandfather had Transpluto in his 1st house). Everything about me was criticized as a child. I did very well in school, but was asked why my 99% couldn’t be 100%. My clothes, hair, make-up, and even my weight were constantly picked at. My brother was also criticized, but we seemed to take it in different ways. I stove to be “perfect” and he figured if his best wasn’t good enough, why bother trying.

I am really experiencing Burnout now and trying to change accordingly, but I do feel so much guilt. Pluto is currently transiting my natal Neptune and Midheaven and Neptune is transiting my natal Saturn. I also have insulin resistant PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). I struggled with eating disorders for 15 years (triggered by my grandmother criticizing my weight at age 11). I have been in recovery for just over a year which has helped my insulin resistance greatly, and hopefully boosts my fertility. I have been told to look out for Jupiter transiting my 5th house in 2026.
